Isaiah 43:3 · World English Bible

Isaiah 43:3 Meaning For I Am Yahweh Your God

For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

What does Isaiah 43:3 mean?

The saviour is I AM, your own awareness of being, and nothing outside it saves. When a man chooses to trust that inner sense of himself over everything his eyes report, the outer world begins to rearrange itself to match.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The saviour is I AM, your own awareness of being, and nothing outside it saves. When a man chooses to trust that inner sense of himself over everything his eyes report, the outer world begins to rearrange itself to match. Egypt and Ethiopia and Seba stand for the whole crowd of conditions that seem to hold him in place. They give way.

God is not a power at a distance striking a bargain for a man's rescue. God is his own self, and every person he has ever met is contained within that self. So the nations yielding are simply outer facts bending to the felt conviction of I AM. Conditions do not vote on what is possible. They follow the being a man quietly knows himself to be.

Live Isaiah 43:3 today

  1. Sometime today, when your mind starts listing everything that is in your way, the money, the timeline, the person who has not replied, put the list down for sixty seconds and just hold the quiet sense of being the kind of person this already works out for. Then go back to your day and let the list look smaller.
  2. In one conversation today, maybe a friend on the phone or someone at the kitchen table, speak as the person you are becoming rather than the person your week has been. Not boasting, just dropping the usual complaints and letting your voice come from the steadier place.
  3. When something squeezes you, a hard meeting, traffic that is not moving, a text that lands wrong, feel the squeeze and stay with your own inner footing instead of letting the pressure tell you what is true. Let the situation make its case and quietly decline to be convinced.

What would today feel like if the thing you are waiting on had already been settled in your favor?

The same truth in other traditions

Upanishads

The self you look out from is not a small thing housed in a body, it is the same reality that holds the whole world. Knowing that, you stop begging the world for a rescue it cannot give.

Tao Te Ching

The one who is settled inside does not push the river, and the river moves anyway. Things arrange themselves around a person who has stopped arguing with them.

Stoicism · Epictetus

Nothing outside your own judgment has real authority over you. Circumstances can crowd you, but they cannot decide who you are, and they tend to lose their grip once you stop handing them one.
