Isaiah 52:6 · World English Bible
Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who speaks. Behold, it is I.
There is a name beneath all the names you have been given, and it is not a word but a presence: the simple sense of I Am that is awake in you before any thought arrives. In the ache of exile, when you feel cut off from the source of your life, this is the one thing that cannot be taken.
From the Ego v. Being reading below.
The same verse, read by 2 traditions.

EGO & BEING
There is a name beneath all the names you have been given, and it is not a word but a presence: the simple sense of I Am that is awake in you before any thought arrives. In the ache of exile, when you feel cut off from the source of your life, this is the one thing that cannot be taken.
And so the promise is fulfilled in the only place it can be. You come to know that the presence you were waiting to hear from far away is the very awareness looking out through your eyes now. It speaks, and it is I, because the one who says I Am in you and the source you longed for were never two.

SUFISM
A day is promised when the people will finally recognize the voice that has spoken all along. What delays it is a heart too crowded with its own noise to hear, taking every passing rumor for truth while the real Speaker goes unknown.
Growing quiet is the way through, letting the clamor settle until one voice stands clear. He is not hiding somewhere far off to be hunted down. He is already speaking within the scene, and learning His name is only waking to what was present the whole time.
Ego v. Being lens
What have I been waiting to receive from somewhere far away that is already here?
The self you are looking for is the one doing the looking. What you seek has been reading these words the whole time.
You wander the world asking for directions to a place you have never left. The beloved is not at the end of the road, but closer than your own breath.
It is like riding an ox while searching for the ox. The seeking itself is what hides what was never missing.
