CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

Clinical Psychology

Watch the sequence. First a man lies, then he departs, and the departure is the consequence of the lie. Falsehood is not a single misstep but a road that leads steadily away from the ground you were standing on.

And the deepest corruption begins in the heart before it reaches the tongue. A person conceives the falsehood inwardly, entertains it, lets it settle, and only then speaks it as oppression against others. The chaos in a society is the accumulation of small betrayals of the truth, each spoken by someone who knew better. Guard what you say, because your words build the world you then have to live inside.

Live Isaiah 59:13 today

  1. When a resentful story about someone starts playing in your head on the commute, stop feeding it. You do not have to argue with it, just stop rehearsing it.
  2. Before you send the sharp message, read it once as if you were the person receiving it. If it was written to wound, write the honest version instead.
  3. When a group chat turns into a pile-on about someone who is not there, say nothing cruel and add nothing to the heap. Silence is sometimes the whole contribution.

What have I been rehearsing inwardly that I would be ashamed to hear out loud?
