James 2:5 Meaning Listen
Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

Faqr: Poverty before God Faqr names the empty-handedness every person already stands in. Someone with an empty account often carries a low opinion of their own worth, since the world keeps confirming it.

SUFISM
Faqr: Poverty before God Faqr names the empty-handedness every person already stands in. Someone with an empty account often carries a low opinion of their own worth, since the world keeps confirming it. A person with money is in the same position underneath, only cushioned enough to miss it. Having nothing to fall back on makes the plainest fact about being alive hard to overlook.
God looks at your hearts, not at your bodies or your money: what gets weighed The Prophet said this. People sort each other in seconds by clothes, jobs, and cars, and those who come out low learn to agree with the verdict. The sorting that counts runs on something nobody can see from outside, so a person in worn shoes can be far ahead of the one everyone admires.
Tawakkul: Leaning on God for what you need Al-Ghazali treats tawakkul as a settled reliance the heart grows into. Money holds a person steady, and while it does that job, no one finds out what else might hold them. Someone without the cushion meets that question every morning, and the steadiness they slowly gain sits where no theft can reach it.
Faḍl: God's giving, free and unearned Faḍl is the bounty the Quran says God hands out to whom he wills. People who have never been picked for anything come to expect that good things follow a track record, and they read their own empty hands as the answer. Being chosen here works like an inheritance, which children receive because of who their parents are.
If I love you for heaven, keep heaven from me: love that asks nothing back Rabia prayed in these words. A promise of something later can quietly turn love into a deal, where the heart keeps one eye on the payout and calls that devotion. When a person owns little, the promise is the brightest thing in view, and it takes some honesty to keep loving the giver more than the gift.
Sufism lens
If your income and job title vanished tomorrow, what would still be true about you?
The use of a cup is in the hollow, and the use of a room is in the empty space. What has nothing in it is what can be filled.
He was born a slave with a bad leg and taught emperors' sons. What a person is worth, he said, has nothing to do with what they hold.
The mind, not the purse, decides what a life amounts to. A person in rags with a settled heart is richer than the one everyone envies.
