Jeremiah 10:10 Meaning But Yahweh Is the True God

But Yahweh is the true God. He is the living God, and an everlasting King. At his wrath, the earth trembles. The nations aren’t able to withstand his indignation.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

The idols the mind builds are dead things, images and beliefs that have no life in them. What is called here the living God is not another image. It is life itself, the aliveness that is present in you now, prior to every thought and every name.

When this reality asserts itself, the structures the ego has built cannot stand. The trembling of the earth and the falling of nations is what happens inwardly when presence breaks through. Every false identity you mistook for solid ground gives way, because it was never alive. Only what is truly living remains, and you discover that it is what you are.

Live Jeremiah 10:10 today

  1. Sit still for one minute with no phone and no music, and feel the simple fact that you are alive right now, before any thought about your life. That aliveness is not an idea and does not need your agreement.
  2. The next time someone mistakes you, misreads you or forgets you, feel the small collapse and let it collapse. Something in you is watching it and is completely unharmed.
  3. When a plan falls apart or a result goes against you, stay in the body instead of the story. Feet, breath, the air in the room, and see what is still here when the structure is gone.

What in you is still standing when everything you call yourself falls away?

The same truth in other traditions

Upanishads

What you truly are is not the body, not the mind, not the name you answer to. Strip away everything you can describe and what remains, aware and unbroken, is the real.

Zen

Before you can see clearly, the ground you were standing on has to give way. Students speak of the bottom of the bucket falling out, and what is left is not a loss but what was always holding them.

Tao Te Ching 25

There is something that was there before heaven and earth, without name, silent and complete. Everything that comes and goes is passing through it.
