Jeremiah 24:7 Meaning I Will Give Them a Heart
I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.

Jeremiah 24:7 · World English Bible
I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.
To know God is not to believe an idea about God. It is a direct knowing that arises in you when the mind grows still, a felt recognition of the living presence that you are and that everything is.

EGO & BEING
To know God is not to believe an idea about God. It is a direct knowing that arises in you when the mind grows still, a felt recognition of the living presence that you are and that everything is.
This knowing comes with a new heart, a consciousness no longer divided against itself. When you return with your whole heart, you bring the whole of your attention into this moment, undivided by regret or wanting. This is the return that is spoken of. You come home to the presence you never actually left, and in that homecoming you find that the divine was never separate from you, only hidden by the noise of thought.

SUFISM
Spoken over a people scattered and broken, this promises a new inner organ, a heart able to know God the way an eye is able to see light. The trouble it answers is a divided heart, half turned toward God and half kept back, which can no more know Him than a smeared glass can hold a face.
What a person can do is stop hedging and turn the whole heart home, holding nothing back. But the knowing is a gift, given, not manufactured. And as the people come back whole, God is already there, calling them His.
Ego v. Being lens
How much of you is actually here right now?
The knowing spoken of here is not learning about something. It is like fire recognizing fire, the knower and the known turning out to be one.
A student asked what the way is. The teacher said: your ordinary mind, right now, is the way. Nothing to acquire, only to stop wandering off.
You are not asked to reach the Self, only to drop the idea that you ever left it. The return is the end of a wrong notion, not a journey.
