EGO & BEING
When life has cut away what you depended on and left you in a kind of wilderness, empty of the old comforts, it seems the worst has happened. The mind sees only barrenness and lack. Yet it is precisely here, where nothing is left to distract you, that something unexpected becomes available.
In that emptiness the noise of wanting grows quiet, and you touch a peace that does not depend on your circumstances. This is the grace found in the wilderness. Rest comes not because your troubles ended, but because you finally stopped resisting the moment and let yourself simply be.
