Jeremiah 5:13 · World English Bible
The prophets will become wind, and the word is not in them. Thus it will be done to them.
The higher faculties in a person can empty out and become mere air, all breath and no substance, when the living word no longer inhabits them. A prophet is the part of the mind meant to carry vision and speak truth from the depths; when that faculty runs on empty it still moves the lips and stirs the air, yet nothing formed rides the breath.

ESOTERIC
The higher faculties in a person can empty out and become mere air, all breath and no substance, when the living word no longer inhabits them. A prophet is the part of the mind meant to carry vision and speak truth from the depths; when that faculty runs on empty it still moves the lips and stirs the air, yet nothing formed rides the breath. Wind here is speech without spirit, the same motion of the throat that once carried the word now carrying nothing.
The hollowing is not a punishment sent from far off but the natural end of a faculty that has lost its center: what has no word inside it becomes only the noise of its own exhaling.
Prophets: the higher speaking faculties of the mind, meant to carry vision from the depths into words. Wind: breath and speech emptied of spirit, the motion of talk with nothing living formed inside it.

Where in my day am I talking mostly to keep the sound going?
The sage holds back words, because speech spent freely runs the inner reserve dry. What matters is kept at the center, not scattered into air.
A finger pointing at the moon is useful only while something real is being pointed at. Keep waving the finger after the moon is forgotten and you are just moving your hand.
Do not talk about what you have learned. Let it show in how you act, since the sheep does not bring the grass to the shepherd to prove it ate, it simply grows wool.
