Jeremiah 51:33 Meaning For Yahweh of Armies

For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time when it is trodden. Yet a little while, and the time of harvest comes for her.”

What does Jeremiah 51:33 mean?

The daughter of Babylon is the desiring emotion born of the carnal man, and she is brought to the threshing floor where husk is beaten from grain, the moment the spirit within separates what is real in a person from what is only chaff of appetite. Babylon is that outer, fleshly self, and its daughter is the run of cravings it produces; the appointed threshing is the inner sorting that cannot be put off much longer.

The reading is a harvest inside mankind, drawing near. The circular signs pressed into the crops are taken as the light beings' electromagnetic word that this end-time separation of grain from husk has come.

Israel: Isis the spirit joined to Ra the mind and El the god within, the whole awakened self. Babylon: the carnal, outward man ruled by the flesh. Daughter: the desires and cravings of the emotions that the carnal self produces. Threshingfloor: the inner ground where the true grain is beaten free of the husk of appetite.

Live Jeremiah 51:33 today

  1. Today when a strong want shows up, the snack, the purchase, the scroll, wait ten minutes before acting. Most wants are husk and will simply blow off; the real one will still be there.
  2. Tell one person what you actually want from a situation, not the polite version. Saying it out loud separates the real thing from the noise around it fast.
  3. Under stress, when you reach for the thing that always numbs it, pause with your hand on it and ask what you are actually hungry for. You may still take it, and you will know more than you did.

Of everything I wanted today, what was really mine?

Craving is seen clearly and then set down, and what remains is the part of you that was never craving. Nothing is destroyed, it is separated.

Stoicism · Epictetus

Sort what you actually want from what merely passes through you wanting something. The work is telling grain from husk inside your own desires.

Hinduism · Bhagavad Gita

The senses pull in every direction, and the steady person learns which pulls to act on and which to let pass. Discernment, not suppression, is the practice.
