Jeremiah 7:2 · World English Bible

Jeremiah 7:2 Meaning Stand in the Gate of Yahweh’s House

“Stand in the gate of Yahweh’s house, and proclaim this word there, and say, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, all you of Judah, who enter in at these gates to worship Yahweh.’ ”

What does Jeremiah 7:2 mean?

The house of the LORD is the human brain, and its gate is the threshold where a person passes inward through meditation into the temple of the head, not a door in any building of stone. To stand in that gate is to hold the entrance of higher consciousness open, where the logic circuits of the mind receive the inner word.

The house of the LORD is the human brain, and its gate is the threshold where a person passes inward through meditation into the temple of the head, not a door in any building of stone. To stand in that gate is to hold the entrance of higher consciousness open, where the logic circuits of the mind receive the inner word.

Judah is the right hemisphere, the tribe of light, the sun-side of the brain, and those entering these gates to worship are the powers of that luminous side turning inward toward their source. Worship here is not ceremony. It is consciousness passing through the gate of the brain to meet the light already dwelling in the head.

Gate of the LORD's house: the threshold of the brain, the entrance passed through in meditation House of the LORD: the human brain, the true temple Judah: the right hemisphere of the brain, the tribe of light and the sun within

Live Jeremiah 7:2 today

  1. Before you open your laptop or unlock your phone in the morning, sit still for three minutes with your eyes closed. The pause is the threshold, and crossing it on purpose changes the whole day's tone.
  2. When you walk into a room where someone is waiting for you, stop at the doorway for one breath before you speak. People can feel the difference between arriving and barging in.
  3. Between back-to-back calls, close the screen and do nothing for sixty seconds before the next one starts. Showing up present is a different thing from showing up on time.

What do I walk through most days without ever arriving?

The gate has no gate. Everyone looks for an entrance and the entrance turns out to be standing still where you already are.

Bhagavad Gita 6

Sitting quietly, gathering the scattered attention and holding it steady at one point, a person meets what has been there the whole time. The place is not far, the attention was.

Taoism · Zhuangzi

Stop listening with your ears and listen with your attention, then stop listening with your attention and listen with the stillness itself. What opens then is not a door you built.
