Job 3:11 Meaning Why Didn’t I Die From the Womb
Why didn’t I die from the womb? Why didn’t I give up the spirit when my mother bore me?

Job 3:11 · World English Bible
Why didn’t I die from the womb? Why didn’t I give up the spirit when my mother bore me?
The cry rises from the self at the depth of its suffering, wishing it had never crossed from the hidden state into the exposed life of the body. The womb and the belly are the dark inner place before manifestation, the unborn condition where consciousness rests unbroken by the world.

ESOTERIC
The cry rises from the self at the depth of its suffering, wishing it had never crossed from the hidden state into the exposed life of the body. The womb and the belly are the dark inner place before manifestation, the unborn condition where consciousness rests unbroken by the world. To ask why it did not die there is to long for the peace of the unmanifest, before spirit descended into flesh and took on the weight of separate existence. The pain of embodied life turns the self back toward the quiet from which it came, grieving the very act of being born into matter.
Womb: the dark inner place of the unmanifest, the hidden state of consciousness before it enters the body. Belly: the lower depth from which the embodied self emerges, the passage out of the unborn into flesh.
Esoteric lens
What would it mean to be gentle with the part of you that never asked to be here?
All things rise up and then return to the root they came from. Going back to that stillness is not a defeat, it is the resting place the Tao keeps for everything it sends out.
Birth itself is named as the doorway to suffering, and the wish to stop being born again and again is treated as a holy longing rather than a sickness.
Before the body there is the unborn, deathless ground, and the ache a person feels inside flesh is the memory of that wider state pressing back through the small one.
