Job 8:6 Meaning If You Were Pure and Upright
If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

Job 8:6 · World English Bible
If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
Purity and uprightness name an inner condition, the clearing and straightening of a person's own consciousness, and the awakening spoken of is the stirring of the higher self in response to that clarity. When the inner life is made clean and set upright, the God-consciousness within, which sleeps while a person lives in his own confusion, rouses on his behalf.

ESOTERIC
Purity and uprightness name an inner condition, the clearing and straightening of a person's own consciousness, and the awakening spoken of is the stirring of the higher self in response to that clarity. When the inner life is made clean and set upright, the God-consciousness within, which sleeps while a person lives in his own confusion, rouses on his behalf. The habitation of righteousness is the dwelling built within, the inner house raised on rightly ordered energy, and its prospering is the flourishing of the whole self once its foundation is true. Purity is not moral display but the transparency of a mind that has cleared its own waters.
The awakening depends on the clearing. As long as a person is bent and clouded within, the higher power lies dormant, but the moment the inner condition is made pure and straight, the deeper self stirs and the whole inner dwelling comes into its increase.

Muddy water clears when it is left alone. The one who can wait without stirring it becomes someone others can see themselves in.
Practice is not adding something holy on top of you, it is wiping the dust off the mirror you already are. The clarity and the awakening are one motion.
