MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The one found here is not a man who lived long ago. Jesus is salvation, the whole of your desire fulfilled, and to find him is to feel your own imagination as the power that answers you. Moses and the prophets are the pattern of redemption buried in you from the start, unfolding toward this single discovery, so the entire book was never history but your own life told in advance.

He is called the son of Joseph and of Nazareth, born of an ordinary name in an ordinary place, because the saving power wears the plainest disguise. It grows up unnoticed. A person carries it until he recognizes it as himself. What you persistently picture and feel as already so is exactly what you produce in the world outside you. The one Scripture promised is your own capacity to imagine, and finding him means knowing that power is yours.

Live John 1:45 today

  1. Look back at one ordinary stretch of your life you used to call wasted, a boring job, a slow year, and find what it actually built in you. The plain thing is usually the one doing the work.
  2. Tell one person something you appreciate that nobody notices about them, something small and unglamorous. The useful power in people usually goes unmentioned for years.
  3. When a day feels flat and nothing is happening, hold the picture of what you want as already settled anyway. The ordinary day is exactly where that picture does its work.

What have you overlooked in yourself because it came in plain packaging?

Zen

Before you understand, you carry water and chop wood. After, you carry water and chop wood. What saves you wears the plainest clothes and nothing about the day looks special.

Tao Te Ching 41

The great vessel takes the longest to finish. The real thing grows up quietly, unremarkable to look at, and most people pass it without a second glance.

Upanishads

That power you have been describing in grand terms is simply what you are. You have been reading about yourself the whole time.
