John 10:24 Meaning The Jews Therefore Came Around Him

The Jews therefore came around him and said to him, “How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

What does John 10:24 mean?

The crowd demanding a plain answer is the divided mind pressing for outward proof before it will believe. It wants the Christ shown from the outside, announced and verified, so it need not risk the inner assumption.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The crowd demanding a plain answer is the divided mind pressing for outward proof before it will believe. It wants the Christ shown from the outside, announced and verified, so it need not risk the inner assumption. That demand is exactly what keeps it in doubt, because Christ is never handed over as an external fact. Christ is God's buried power in a person, the anointed self hidden within, awakened only when claimed from inside.

Doubt lasts as long as a person waits to be told plainly by another. The telling can only come as his own recognition. When he ceases circling for evidence and quietly assumes that the creative power is himself, the answer is given, not in words but in his own changed awareness. Christ is not proved to you; Christ is realized as you. The waiting ends the moment the claim is made within.

  2. When you want someone to tell you plainly that you are good enough, answer it yourself first, in your own words, before you go asking. Then you can enjoy their kindness instead of needing it.
  3. In a decision where everyone wants proof before moving, make the inward choice anyway and act from it calmly. The evidence shows up after the step, not before.

Asking another to hand you your own face keeps you faceless. The teacher points, and the pointing is not the thing; you have to look.
