CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The mind that has learned to teach from love does not hurry to answer the call of sickness as though the body's alarm were the truth of the matter. Delay here is not indifference but certainty. A mind grounded in what cannot die is not moved by the report that something is failing, because it has already looked past the appearance to the changeless life within. It waits, not because the other is unloved, but because it will not join the belief that death is real. From that quiet the correction is stronger than any rush of concern.

The stillness is the point. To abide where love has placed you, unshaken by the world's insistence that you act on its fear, is itself the miracle. What seems like sickness in the story is the mind's conviction that separation can harm, and love answers it by refusing to be afraid.

Sickness: the belief in the mind that separation can wound and undo, the appearance of harm that calls for fear. The same place: the settled ground of certainty in the mind, the still point where love stands unmoved by the report of danger.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

He heard that one he loved was sick, and yet he abode still two more days. To the anxious mind this seems impossible, even cold, because fear always demands immediate reaction.

But he did not move from panic. He remained in stillness, trusting the deeper intelligence of life to unfold in its own time rather than the frantic timing of thought. This is not passivity. It is the patience that becomes possible when you are no longer ruled by fear of the future, when you can meet even bad news from inner stillness and let action arise when the moment is truly ready.

Live John 11:6 today

  1. When the urgent notification lands today, let it sit for ten minutes before you do anything. Choose from a settled place, not from the ping.
  2. When someone brings you their emergency, do not match their speed. Be the slow one in the room, and let them borrow some of your steadiness.
  3. Under real pressure at work, name the fear out loud in your head, then wait a beat longer than feels comfortable before you reply. The answer that comes from the pause is usually the good one.

What did I rush into today only because somebody else was afraid?
