John 13:19 Meaning From Now on

From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I am he.

What does John 13:19 mean?

I tell you before it comes to pass, not to impress you with prediction, but so that when it happens, something in you will awaken to recognize the presence that was speaking all along. That I am he points to something beneath every name and role and story, the simple I Am, the awareness of Being that is your deepest identity.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

I tell you before it comes to pass, not to impress you with prediction, but so that when it happens, something in you will awaken to recognize the presence that was speaking all along.

That I am he points to something beneath every name and role and story, the simple I Am, the awareness of Being that is your deepest identity. Events unfold in time, one after another, but the purpose of foreseeing them is to point beyond time. When you see the pattern complete itself, you recognize the timeless presence that was here before it began and remains after it ends.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The pattern is told before it happens so that its fulfillment proves who the teller is. When the foretold state comes to pass, the belief is not in an outside prophet but in the I AM that spoke it, your own awareness recognizing itself as the one power. To say I am he is to know that the fulfilling and the awareness are the same being.

The imaginal act earns trust this way: you hold a state now, unseen, and its later appearance confirms that consciousness alone produced it. The order is fixed. First the inner word, then the outer event, so that when the event arrives you know its author. A foretelling that is fulfilled from within teaches a person that the I AM in him is the cause of what he lives.

Live John 13:19 today

  1. On your commute, let one thing you were dreading or wanting pass through your mind, then ask what in you is simply here watching it. Stay with that for a few breaths.
  2. When a friend tells you the long story of their week, listen for the person underneath the plot. Respond to them, not to the events.
  3. When a deadline or a hard message lands and the whole day feels like it is collapsing, put a hand flat on the desk and feel that you are still here, before any of this started and after it resolves.

What in me has stayed the same through every chapter I was sure would define me?
