John 21:25 Meaning There Are Also Many Other Things

There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn’t have room for the books that would be written.

What does John 21:25 mean?

Jesus is your own awareness, the sense of being alive that works everything in you. Since imagination is the one creative power and it never stops shaping the world you meet, its acts cannot be counted or shelved.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Jesus is your own awareness, the sense of being alive that works everything in you. Since imagination is the one creative power and it never stops shaping the world you meet, its acts cannot be counted or shelved. Every state you have ever assumed, every feeling held long enough to become fact, every unnoticed mood that hardened into an event, was one more thing this power did. No library holds them because they are still happening, in you, now.

The closing word set here is not a record of a finished past but the widening of a life. What was born inside a person keeps producing after him, quietly, beyond his watching. The world could not contain the books because the doing has no end. What you are aware of being goes on writing your world, and no page ever closes the account.

Live John 21:25 today

  1. Instead of writing one more plan or list today, sit for five minutes and simply be aware that you exist. That is the thing that has been doing all the work.
  2. Tell one person about something that is still unfolding in your life, with no ending attached. Let it stay unfinished out loud instead of wrapping it in a tidy summary.
  3. When a day goes badly and your head starts filing it as proof of how things are, leave the file open. Nothing closed today, and the mood you carry out of it is the next page.

If nothing about you is finished yet, what have you been treating as settled?

The same truth in other traditions

Tao Te Ching 1

The way that can be put into words is not the way. What is actually at work in you is too alive to be written down and shelved.

Zen

The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon. Every book is one more finger, and the thing itself keeps moving past the page.

Bhagavad Gita 10

I am the beginning, the middle and the end of everything you meet. There is no listing the acts of a power that is still making the world in front of you.
