John 3:18 Meaning He Who Believes in Him Is Not
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

John 3:18 · World English Bible
He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
No one is condemned from outside. The mind that accepts its innocence walks free because there was never a sentence to escape, and the mind that refuses it is not punished but simply keeps the verdict it holds against itself.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
No one is condemned from outside. The mind that accepts its innocence walks free because there was never a sentence to escape, and the mind that refuses it is not punished but simply keeps the verdict it holds against itself. Condemnation is never done to a mind; it is a belief the mind maintains, and belief is the only judge.
To disbelieve in the Son is to disbelieve in one's own innocence, and a mind convinced of its own guilt lives already inside the prison it built. Nothing waits to sentence it. It has only to lay the guilt down and see that the cell was never locked.
Son: the innocent Self whose name is the truth about the mind, the identity that, once accepted, ends all self-accusation.

If no one is sentencing me, why am I still serving the time?
The student begged to be freed and the teacher asked who was holding him. The chains were his own hands, and he had only to open them.
It is not the situation that binds you but your verdict about it. Change the judgment and the thing that was crushing you loses its grip.
The mind can be your worst jailer or your closest friend. Nothing outside you needs to punish you once you have agreed to punish yourself.
