CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Two births are named, and together they describe a single change in the mind. The one washes, the other lifts. To be born of water is to have the old belief cleansed away, the accumulated guilt released so that the mind is no longer heavy with what it thought it had done. To be born of Spirit is to be raised into the awareness of what one truly is.

Neither happens by effort in the world, for the kingdom is not entered through a gate of stone. It is entered by a mind made clean and then made new, first emptied of its guilt and then filled with the knowledge of its Source. What seemed a hard threshold was only the mind's refusal to be washed and lifted, and when that refusal ends, the entering is already done.

Water: the cleansing of the mind, the washing away of guilt that made it feel unfit for God Spirit: the lifting of the mind into truth, the awareness of what it is beneath all it believed

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

There is a second birth, and it has nothing to do with the body. Your first birth brought you into the world of form, into a life ruled by the mind and its separate self. That self cannot enter the kingdom of God, because the kingdom is not a place the ego could ever find.

To be born of the Spirit is to awaken to the awareness beneath your thinking. Then you see the kingdom of God is not far away or in some future. It is the living presence within you, entered the moment you awaken from the dream of being only a person.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Water here is the truth a person comes to understand, the meaning of Scripture read as the story of his own consciousness. That understanding washes away every belief that he is only flesh. Spirit is the untraceable inner movement by which a new self is born, felt but never seen coming. A man enters the kingdom by both together: he grasps what he is, and he is inwardly remade.

The kingdom is no place after death. The kingdom is the awareness that his own imagination is the one power shaping his world, and no one steps into it by the first birth alone. Born once of the body, a person still sleeps. Born again of understanding and of the quiet inner event, he wakes to himself as the creative source. Until both births occur in him, the ruling ground of his life stays hidden from him.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

2 births are required before the inner kingdom opens, and both happen inside the same body. Water is the first, the fluid, emotional nature purified and made calm, the lower waters of feeling brought to stillness. Spirit is the second, the fine current of breath and higher energy rising through the spine to the head. Only when the watery nature is settled and the spiritual current has climbed does awareness cross into the ruling state within, the kingdom that is a condition of consciousness and not a place. Being born from above is this doubled awakening, feeling clarified and the living breath raised, joined in one person.

Water: the fluid emotional nature of a person, the lower feeling-waters that must be stilled and made pure. Spirit: the fine breath and rising energy of the body, the higher current that climbs the spine to the head. Kingdom of God: the ruling state of consciousness within, the inner reign entered only after the 2 births.

Live John 3:5 today

  1. Find the thing you keep replaying against yourself, the message you sent, the way you spoke to someone. Say plainly that it is finished, and let today start without carrying it into every room.
  2. Tell one person something small you have been quietly ashamed of. Watch what happens to the weight of it the moment it stops living only inside your head.
  3. In a tense moment today, a hard meeting or a message that stings, set down the case you are building first. Enter the conversation emptied rather than armed, and see what fits inside you then.

What have I been carrying so long that I forgot I was allowed to put it down?

A cup already full of yesterday's tea has no room for today's. The emptying is not a loss, it is what makes the pouring possible.

Taoism

The work is subtraction, not addition. Keep setting down what you are carrying and you arrive at a clarity you could never have assembled.

The day of atonement does not make you into someone new. It clears away the weight of the year so you can stand where you always belonged, unburdened.
