John 6:57 Meaning As the Living Father Sent Me
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.

John 6:57 · World English Bible
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me.
Life is never owned in isolation; it is received and passed on. The teacher of love draws his whole being from the Source that sent him, and holds nothing back as his alone.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Life is never owned in isolation; it is received and passed on. The teacher of love draws his whole being from the Source that sent him, and holds nothing back as his alone. A mind that takes in what he offers lives by the same current, not by its own small store of strength but by the love it lets flow through it. To try to live by oneself, cut off, is the one impossibility the dream keeps proposing.
So the healed mind learns that it is a channel, not a fountain. What it receives from love it lives by, and what it lives by it can only have because it first let itself be given to.
Father: the Source from which all life continually flows, the changeless Love the mind was created by and cannot exist apart from.

ESOTERIC
Life passes down a single current from the source through the Christ-principle into whoever takes that principle in. The living Father is the unmanifest source of being, and the Son lives by drawing from it; the same flow continues into the one who eats, meaning the one who inwardly assimilates the Christ-consciousness until it becomes their own substance. To eat is not to consume flesh but to absorb the higher nature so completely that it feeds the whole self, the way food becomes the body that took it.
What is described is a chain of living: the source pours into the awakened principle, and the awakened principle pours into the person who takes it in, so that each lives by the one above it.
Living Father: the unmanifest source of being from which all life flows Eateth me: the inward assimilation of the Christ-consciousness until it becomes a person's own substance and feeds the whole self
Christian Psychology lens
Where am I trying to be the fountain, when I was only ever meant to be the channel?
The valley is full because it does not try to hold the river. Let it flow through and you are never empty.
Nothing stands on its own. Everything you are arises from what is given to you, and passes on in turn.
The reed makes music only because it is hollow and the breath is not its own. Its emptiness is what lets the song through.
