The mind that has lived in the darkness of the belief in separation is sent to a still water whose very name means Sent, and this is the whole secret of the correction. Sight is not manufactured by effort; it is received by a mind willing to be led, to go where love directs and let the false covering be washed away.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The mind that has lived in the darkness of the belief in separation is sent to a still water whose very name means Sent, and this is the whole secret of the correction. Sight is not manufactured by effort; it is received by a mind willing to be led, to go where love directs and let the false covering be washed away.
What is cleansed is not the eyes but the perception behind them. The one who goes obediently and washes returns able to see, because he laid down his own way of looking and accepted the vision that was given, and that surrender is itself the miracle.
Pool of Siloam: the still place of correction within, the water that washes away false perception; being named Sent, it is the vision that comes not from the self but from the love that directs the mind

Where am I insisting on my own way of seeing when I have already been shown another?
Water takes the low place and does not force, and that is exactly how it gets everywhere. Going where you are sent beats pushing where you planned.
The teaching is to act and then release the fruit, letting a larger will carry the outcome. The strain goes out of doing once you stop owning the result.
To get a cup of tea you have to empty the cup first. Nothing new can be received by someone still holding their old way of seeing.
