Leviticus 16:22 Meaning The Goat Shall Carry All Their Iniquities
The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

Leviticus 16:22 · World English Bible
The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.
The goat sent away carrying every fault is the animal nature in a person, loaded with the gathered errors and appetites of the lower life and released into the empty region beyond the settled self. To lay all iniquity on the coarse, stubborn drive of the body and drive it out is to concentrate the whole burden of transgression in the animal part and expel it where no ordered life reaches.

ESOTERIC
The goat sent away carrying every fault is the animal nature in a person, loaded with the gathered errors and appetites of the lower life and released into the empty region beyond the settled self. To lay all iniquity on the coarse, stubborn drive of the body and drive it out is to concentrate the whole burden of transgression in the animal part and expel it where no ordered life reaches. The wilderness is the barren, untenanted ground outside the cultivated self, the place where cast-off drives dissolve for want of anything to feed them. The faults of the flesh are pressed into the animal impulse and sent past the borders of the working self, left in a country where nothing lives to keep them alive.
The goat: the coarse animal drive of the body, the stubborn lower impulse loaded with the errors and appetites of the flesh. The wilderness: the barren untenanted ground beyond the settled self, the empty region where cast-off drives dissolve. The land not inhabited: the uninhabited stretch of consciousness outside the cultivated life, where nothing lives to feed what is sent there.
Esoteric lens
What have I been quietly feeding that would starve if I stopped carrying it?
The sage does not fight the coarse urge head on. What is not fed loses its hold, and what is released stops asking to be carried.
Craving grows where it is watered. Set it down in open ground and it withers, because nothing there sustains it.
Some things are not yours to keep. Hand the impulse back to the open air instead of stabling it inside you and calling it your own.
