Leviticus 23:15 Meaning You Shall Count From the Next Day

‘You shall count from the next day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.

What does Leviticus 23:15 mean?

The count of 49 days is the count of the body's own clock. In the developing fetus the pineal gland forms and switches on around the 49th day, and this ancient reckoning of 7 weeks measures the same ripening inside the head.

The count of 49 days is the count of the body's own clock. In the developing fetus the pineal gland forms and switches on around the 49th day, and this ancient reckoning of 7 weeks measures the same ripening inside the head. The wave offering is a wave in the exact sense physics later gave it: the pineal sends out its offer, an electron set vibrating, a photon dispatched, and the answering wave returns from the source, the 2 meeting like an emitter and an absorber in a single handshake.

So the number 7 completed 7 times is the light organ of the head coming fully online, and the offering lifted upward is that outgoing wave asking for its confirmation from above.

Sheaf of the wave offering: the pineal gland's offer wave, the electron set vibrating so a photon goes out and its answer returns The number 49: the 7 weeks that mirror the 49th day when the pineal switches on in the forming body The number 7: completion, one full turn of the inner cycle brought to rest

Live Leviticus 23:15 today

  1. Sit for seven quiet minutes somewhere alone today, timer on, nothing to achieve. The light inside a person comes online slowly, and showing up on the clock is the whole of your part.
  2. Ask someone you trust to check in with you on the same day each week about one thing you are growing into. Say the day out loud so it becomes a count and not a wish.
  3. When something you want is late and you feel the pull to force it, do the one small piece in front of you and stop there. Pressure does not shorten a ripening, it just burns the day you were given.

What am I counting toward, and can I trust the slow arrival of it?

Confucianism · Mencius

Things ripen by their own clock, and the man who tugs at the shoot to help it grow kills it. Count the days and let the growing happen inside you.

Buddhism · Zen

The practice is counting breaths, one after another, nothing dramatic. The opening comes at its hour, and the hour arrives through the counting.

Judaism · Pirkei Avot

It is not yours to finish the work, and you are not free to stop. Steady daily measure is itself the offering.
