You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
When a single mind lets love bring forth what it once thought impossible, the joy of it does not stay private but reaches far beyond the one who received it. What is healed in one is healed for many, because minds are not the separate islands the ego insists they are.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
When a single mind lets love bring forth what it once thought impossible, the joy of it does not stay private but reaches far beyond the one who received it. What is healed in one is healed for many, because minds are not the separate islands the ego insists they are. The gladness given to one is the gladness of all, for there is finally only one mind waking.
This is why the birth of a loving thought is never a solitary event. The many who rejoice are not onlookers but sharers, joined to the same awakening. What love creates in one place it gives everywhere at once, and no one is left outside the joy.

The bodhisattva vow rests on the view that no one wakes up alone. Any clarity gained is held for the sake of all beings, because the line between my liberation and yours was imagined.
The self in you and the self in everyone else are not two selves. What is realized in one place is realized in the one awareness that everyone is already sharing.
Rumi writes of joy that cannot be contained in the one it visits. The cup overflows by nature, and the wine was never the cup's private property.
