Luke 12:31 · World English Bible
But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
There is only one thing worth seeking, and everything else follows from finding it. The kingdom of God is not a place to be reached but the mind's own true condition, the awareness of its unbroken union with its Source, and to seek this is to seek what one already is.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
There is only one thing worth seeking, and everything else follows from finding it. The kingdom of God is not a place to be reached but the mind's own true condition, the awareness of its unbroken union with its Source, and to seek this is to seek what one already is. When that is made the single aim, the countless smaller wants that once consumed the mind quietly resolve, for they were only misplaced longings for the one thing all along.
So the promise is not that striving for heaven earns worldly reward. It is that a mind at rest in what it truly is no longer experiences lack, and all it seemed to need is found already given within the peace it sought.
Kingdom of God: the mind's true home, its remembered union with its Source, the one thing worth seeking

EGO & BEING
So much of your seeking is really a kind of chasing, the mind convinced that the next thing acquired or arranged will finally deliver the peace you are after. You reach for the object and the peace stays one step ahead, always in the future you are running toward. There is a tiredness in this you know well, the tiredness of adding things to a self that never feels complete.
There is another kind of seeking that is not reaching at all. It is a turning inward toward the aliveness of this moment, toward the awareness that was here before any wanting arose. This is the kingdom, and it is not somewhere you travel to. It is the depth of the present when you stop grasping and simply are. Once you rest there, the anxious need for these other things quietly loosens. They may still come, but they no longer own you. You sought the one thing that was never missing, and everything else fell into place.

BUDDHISM
The turn here is to point the search in a new direction, away from anxious getting and toward the one aim worth wanting, and let the rest follow.
Taṇhā: Craving "All these things," the food and drink and the extra coat, pull at a person like a thirst that drinking only sharpens. Make them the main prize and the hands stay clenched, always one item short of enough no matter how the pile grows. Loosen that grip first, the moment something larger is sought, and the pull over the day goes slack.
Chanda: Wholesome aspiration "Seek" is still a form of wanting, only now it points past the pantry toward the highest thing. The same drive that once chased dinner can swing toward the kingdom the way a compass needle settles on north, keeping its full strength and only changing what it reaches for. This is why the call can ask you to desire while the whole lesson warns against grasping.
Nibbāna: The highest peace The kingdom earns the top of the search because it is the one prize no moth can eat and no thief can carry off. Set it above the shopping list and every smaller worry shrinks to its proper size, the way pocket change looks small beside the cost of a house. Here is the settled ground the restless searching wanted all along, the place where the chasing can finally rest.
Saddhā: Trust "Shall be added" is a promise you lean your weight on before you can see it kept. Seeking the kingdom first only holds if you trust the bread will still arrive, the way a farmer buries good seed and counts on the rain to come. That trust unclenches the hands from tomorrow's supply and frees them for the one task that matters. Worry loosens its hold as the same confidence grows.
Santuṭṭhi: Contentment Put the highest first and "all these things" arrive quietly, thrown in like the baker's extra roll you never asked for. Contentment is being full on what the day already hands you, so the anxious reaching for more slows and settles. Provision was close the whole time, and turning toward the kingdom simply let you notice the loaf already cooling on the table.
Christian Psychology lens
If the thing you most want is already yours, what are you really chasing all day?
The one you are searching for is the one doing the searching. Seek the self and the thousand smaller wants quiet down on their own.
The fish is already in water and still goes looking for the sea. What you are after is not far off, it is the ground you are standing on.
You have been knocking from the inside. The door you have been hunting for all your life opens onto the place you never actually left.
