Luke 13:5 Meaning I Tell You
I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.

Luke 13:5 · World English Bible
I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.
Again the verdict on the dead is denied, and again the warning turns back upon the one who would judge. The repetition is not scolding but insistence, for the mind lets go of its favorite certainty slowly, and the certainty that suffering is deserved is among the dearest the ego owns.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Again the verdict on the dead is denied, and again the warning turns back upon the one who would judge. The repetition is not scolding but insistence, for the mind lets go of its favorite certainty slowly, and the certainty that suffering is deserved is among the dearest the ego owns. To change the mind is the only real correction, the single turning from a way of seeing that keeps blame forever in motion.
To perish in the same way is to stay inside that seeing, where every misfortune is a sentence and no one is ever wholly innocent. The mind that keeps assigning guilt is the mind that keeps carrying it, and only the willingness to look on all of it without condemning sets the one who looks free.
Christian Psychology lens
What would today feel like if nothing that happened to me, or to anyone else, were a sentence being served?
Hatred and blame never end by being passed along; they end only where someone stops passing them on. The one who drops the grudge is the one who stops being crushed by it.
When you feel wronged, look again at what actually happened and at the story you added to it. Remove the judgment that you were harmed, and the harm itself loses its grip.
The sage does not hold people to their faults, and so faults lose their power to define anyone. Punishment keeps a thing alive; letting it go lets it finish.
