Luke 2:26 Meaning It Had Been Revealed to Him
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

Luke 2:26 · World English Bible
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
The promise given to this mind is that it will look on innocence before it believes in ending, and the order matters. Death here is the ego's final claim, its insistence that separation is total and cannot be undone.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The promise given to this mind is that it will look on innocence before it believes in ending, and the order matters. Death here is the ego's final claim, its insistence that separation is total and cannot be undone. But a mind that has been shown the changeless self within will already know that claim is empty, for once innocence is truly seen, the fear of ending loses the ground it stood on.
This is not a bargain about the body's span. It is the assurance that love is recognized first, so that when the last shadow rises the mind meets it already unafraid.
Holy Ghost: the teacher of truth within the mind, the voice that promises what fear cannot deliver Christ: the innocent self the mind was made to recognize, the vision that empties death of its terror
Christian Psychology lens
What in you has never changed, through everything?
What you most truly are was never born and cannot end. See that clearly and the dread of ending loses its footing.
Keep ending in view while you live and it stops being a terror waiting at the end. Looking at it steadily is what empties it.
Find the part of you that has not changed since childhood, the one aware through every season of your life. Knowing that, the fear of losing it stops making sense.
