Luke 20:27 Meaning Some of the Sadducees Came to Him

Some of the Sadducees came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.

What does Luke 20:27 mean?

The Sadducees are the state of mind in you that denies any resurrection. They are the settled certainty that this world of the senses is all there is and that nothing rises beyond it.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The Sadducees are the state of mind in you that denies any resurrection. They are the settled certainty that this world of the senses is all there is and that nothing rises beyond it. They are not a party of ancient men. They are the reasoning part of a person that takes the evidence of the eyes as final and rules out any waking beyond death and appearance.

That denial is the very state the awakening power comes to answer. Resurrection here is not survival after burial. It is imagination waking within you and discovering that it was never bound by the facts it accepted. As long as the Sadducee state governs you, life only repeats what the senses report. The part of you that insists nothing rises is the part still asleep, and it is exactly the part that must be met and answered.

  1. Catch one sentence today that starts with I'm just not someone who, and sit with the possibility that it is a habit and not a fact.
  2. When a friend tells you nothing will ever change for them, don't argue the facts. Ask what they'd want if it could, and let the question do the work.
  3. When the evidence is loud, the bank app, the scale, the read receipt, let yourself say out loud: this is what's true right now, and right now is not forever.

Which part of your life have you quietly closed the case on?

Buddhism

We mistake the six senses for the whole world and then suffer inside the small room we built. Seeing through that mistake is the waking.

Hinduism

Maya is not that the world is false, it is that we take its surface as final. What is taken as final can never be questioned, and what is never questioned keeps us asleep.
