Luke 24:10 Meaning Now They Were Mary Magdalene

Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.

What does Luke 24:10 mean?

The feeling nature carries the first word of resurrection before the reasoning powers will accept it. Mary opens as the bitter waters of the deep, the emotional sea in a person that has been stirred and cleared; from that stirred water the tower of watchfulness rises, and the emotion that once wept now sees the empty tomb.

The women reach the 12 because intuition arrives at the mind's gates ahead of logic, and the powers that govern the body must be told what the heart has already known.

What happens inside is that the awakened life is felt in the body long before it is understood. The softer, receptive side of a person witnesses the risen light first, and only then does it hand that knowledge up to the ordered faculties that will build it into belief.

Mary Magdalene: the deep emotional water in a person, once bitter and possessed, now cleared into a watchtower that sees Mary the mother of James: the receptive feeling that gives birth to the supplanting will, the part that brings the new inner man to term Joanna: the grace within the body that answers the awakened life with gladness Apostles: the 12 governing powers of the body and mind that must receive what intuition already carries

Live Luke 24:10 today

  1. Sometime today your body will tell you something before your head does, a tightness in a meeting, an ease with a person, and instead of talking yourself out of it, just let it be information.
  2. Tell one person the thing you feel but have not finished reasoning out, and say plainly that you do not have the argument for it yet.
  3. In traffic or a long line, when irritation comes up, let it arrive without a story attached, and see what it is actually about.

What have I already felt that I have not yet let myself believe?

The way asks you to keep the receptive, yielding side of yourself. What is soft and open takes in what the hard and certain mind cannot.
