Luke 5:6 Meaning When They Had Done This

Luke 5:6 · World English Bible
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
When the mind acts on love's word, the return is out of all proportion to the small willingness that opened the door. The catch is so great that the old net cannot hold it, and this breaking is not a loss but a sign that the mind's former measure was too small for what love gives.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
When the mind acts on love's word, the return is out of all proportion to the small willingness that opened the door. The catch is so great that the old net cannot hold it, and this breaking is not a loss but a sign that the mind's former measure was too small for what love gives. What was done in separation could never contain the abundance that comes when the mind lets love work through it.
A mind that expected nothing finds itself overwhelmed with more than it can carry. The breaking of the net shows that grace does not fit inside the limits the ego built, and those limits were never needed.
The fishes: the abundance that love returns to the mind, so great it exceeds every expectation The net: the mind's old capacity to receive, built in separation and now too small to hold what grace gives

Where is your life asking for a bigger container rather than a smaller hope?
The usefulness of the cup is the empty space inside it. What you can hold depends on how much room you have made.
The teacher pours until the cup overflows onto the table. A full cup cannot be filled, and an old cup may not be big enough for what is poured.
The grain must be ground and the grape must be crushed before either becomes bread or wine. What breaks is the form, never the life inside it.
