Luke 9:44 · World English Bible
“Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”
A truth is being asked to settle below the surface noise of the mind, and it sounds at first like a warning. The Son, the awakened Self, will be handed over to the world of appearances, into the very hands that seem to threaten it.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A truth is being asked to settle below the surface noise of the mind, and it sounds at first like a warning. The Son, the awakened Self, will be handed over to the world of appearances, into the very hands that seem to threaten it. Yet what love allows to be given into the hands of fear cannot be harmed by fear, because it was never a body to be broken, only a lesson to be learned.
The mind resists this because it still believes that to be handed over is to be lost. But nothing real can be delivered into danger. To let the saying sink in is to begin to trust that the Self remains untouched no matter what the world appears to do to it.
Hands of men: the world of appearances that seems to seize and threaten, the reach of fear that can hold the body but never the Self Son of man: the awakened Self given into the world, whole and unharmed by anything the world appears to do
Christian Psychology lens
What have you been defending that was never really in danger?
What is real in you cannot be cut, burned, drowned or dried. Circumstances reach the body and the life, never the one who is watching.
They can chain my leg, but not my choices. What is actually mine is untouched by anyone's power over the rest.
The soft and yielding survives what the hard and brittle cannot. Giving way is not being destroyed.
