Malachi 1:6 · World English Bible

Malachi 1:6 Meaning A Son Honors His Father

A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, then where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me? Says Yahweh of Armies to you, priests, who despise my name. You say, ‘How have we despised your name?’

What does Malachi 1:6 mean?

The father asking for honor is your own awareness of being, the I AM at the center of you from which every condition is born. To honor it is to guard what you attach to it, because whatever you join to those two words comes to pass.

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The father asking for honor is your own awareness of being, the I AM at the center of you from which every condition is born. To honor it is to guard what you attach to it, because whatever you join to those two words comes to pass. The complaint here is that people revere the sense of self and then feed it their smallest fears.

The despising is unconscious. A person says he believes in his own power, then all day tells himself he is poor, unwanted, stuck. That is the dishonor, and he cannot even see he is doing it. He asks how he has failed while failing in the very sentence. Awareness gives itself to whatever follows it. The name is honored when a person keeps company only with the states he would consent to become.

Live Malachi 1:6 today

  1. Catch one sentence you say about yourself today, the automatic one, maybe "I'm always behind" or "nobody wants this from me." Say the opposite version out loud once, alone in the car or the kitchen, and let that be the one you carry.
  2. When someone in a group chat or at dinner starts running themselves down, don't argue with them. Say back the better version of who they are, plainly, and watch what it does to the room.
  3. Under pressure, before the meeting or the hard call, give yourself thirty seconds to pick the two or three words you want to be true of you by the end of it. Walk in wearing those instead of the worry.

What have you been quietly agreeing to be, all day, without hearing yourself say it?
