Road crews leveled the route ahead of a visiting king, filling holes and clearing stones. God promises to send the one who does that work, and that road runs to Himself.

People asking where God's justice went get His arrival as the answer, and the one they had longed for comes without warning to His own temple. He comes as the messenger of the covenant, the binding agreement God made with them. A preacher in the wilderness did the preparing, and the LORD who entered that temple came as Christ. The LORD of hosts, commander of armies, swears this.

ESOTERIC

The temple to which the LORD suddenly comes is the human body, and the coming is the descent of awakened consciousness into its own dwelling of flesh. The messenger who prepares the way is the forerunning force in a person, the stirring current that clears the passage so the higher self can enter its house. What is sought as a distant lord is already the tenant of the temple standing within, and its arrival is sudden because inner realization breaks in without warning once the way is cleared. The whole event is interior, the divine light returning to the bodily sanctuary built to hold it.

The one long awaited comes not to a building of stone but to the temple of the body, arriving all at once in the person prepared to receive it.

The messenger: the forerunning inner force that clears the passage for the higher self to enter The temple: the human body, the living sanctuary into which the awakened consciousness descends

AWARENESS

Indian Guru

The temple is your own body, and what has been sought outside arrives there without warning. Preparation clears the road and makes space; it cannot produce the arrival. Every method works this way, removing obstacles, and then something happens that no method contained.

The mind wants a ladder, one rung at a time, the divine purchased slowly through effort. Between the last rung and the flight there are no steps. A man may prepare for thirty years and the meeting still takes one instant, owing nothing to those years except the emptiness they made.

Live Malachi 3:1 today

  1. Clear one blockage today, the unanswered email, the apology you owe, the bill you keep moving down the pile. Smooth the road instead of waiting for the right mood to drive it.
  2. Before someone comes over or calls, put the phone down and get the room and your attention ready. Half the kindness is done before they arrive.
  3. When the day breaks open with no warning, the bad news, the sudden ask, let that be the thing instead of an interruption to the thing. What you were preparing for rarely shows up on your calendar.

What have I been praying for that I have made no room to receive?
