Ego v. Being

For those who hold the name in awe, a sun rises. Not in the sky, but within, the light of consciousness lifting over the long night of a mind lost in its own weather. Reverence turns a person that way, toward the dawn, and the warmth carries healing in it.

This healing closes the split between a self and its own life. The stall goes dark no longer. Released from resistance, the freed ones move like young animals let out at first light, easy in their bodies, no argument left with the moment. The sun promised is the awareness that was always the source of their aliveness.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

For the reverent part of a person, the inner sun rises and its light itself is the cure. The Sun of righteousness is the Christ-light rising within, the same solar power the old myths set in the sky now dawning inside the body at the center of the self. Its wings are the spreading rays that carry healing, the radiance reaching outward from that inner sun into every darkened region, so that light and remedy are one thing and not 2.

Growing up as calves of the stall is the freed life leaping out once the sun has risen, the vitality that was penned and fattened now released into strength. The calf let out of the stall is energy that was held back and stored, breaking into movement the moment the light comes. What lands is that the rising of the inner sun does not merely comfort a person; its warmth is what actually heals and sets the stored life free.

Sun of righteousness: the Christ-light rising within, the solar power of the old sky-myths dawning inside the body at the center of the self Wings: the spreading rays of that inner sun, radiance that carries healing into every darkened region Calves of the stall: the penned and fattened life within, vitality held back and now released into strength

Live Malachi 4:2 today

  1. Step outside in the morning before you look at your phone, even for one minute, and let the light land on your face. Feel that the warmth is already happening to you without you doing anything.
  2. The next time someone you live with is talking to you, drop the running commentary in your head about whether they are right, and just be there in the room with them. You will feel your shoulders come down.
  3. In a stressful stretch of the day, a hard meeting or a long line, let your body be the thing you pay attention to instead of the problem. Loosen your jaw, let your breath go lower, and let the moment be what it is.

Where in my day am I still arguing with something that has already happened?

Zen

The mind is likened to a mirror already bright, needing no polishing, only the dust to be let go. What shines in you was never absent, only covered over.

Upanishads

In the Chandogya the self within the heart is called smaller than a grain of rice and greater than all these worlds. Everything you call your aliveness is borrowed from it.

He writes of a sun that rises inside a person and burns away the cold of separation, so the body moves freely again.
