Mark 10:27 Meaning Jesus

Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

What does Mark 10:27 mean?

What seems impossible is impossible only to the mind that believes it stands alone, cut off and small, measuring the future by its own weakness. That mind meets a wall wherever it turns, because separation is exactly the belief that limit is real.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

What seems impossible is impossible only to the mind that believes it stands alone, cut off and small, measuring the future by its own weakness. That mind meets a wall wherever it turns, because separation is exactly the belief that limit is real. Yet the same situation, seen with the teacher of love, has no wall in it at all, for nothing is blocked where nothing was ever divided.

The shift is not a new power added to a struggling self. It is the quiet remembering that the self was never on its own, and that what love wills is already accomplished. Seen this way, the closed door was only a picture the mind was holding, and it opens the moment the mind stops insisting it is shut.

Men: the mind that believes it is separate and alone, judging what is possible by its own smallness God: the remembered wholeness in which the mind was never divided, where nothing is ever blocked

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

Jesus here is not a man beside you but the awareness of being, the I AM you feel when you say those two words and mean yourself. Men and God name two levels of that same awareness. On the level of the senses, working with what is already visible, the desired thing looks shut out, and the honest verdict is impossible. On the level where you simply assume you are the one who has it, the barrier was never there.

So the difficulty was never in the thing wanted. It sat in which self you were consulting. The reasoning man measures the odds and closes the door; the I AM in you needs no odds, because to it assuming is having. All things are possible to your own sense of being, once you stop asking the visible whether it will allow what you have already claimed to be. What you assume yourself to be settles what becomes possible.

CYBERNETICS

Cybernetics

The word impossible measures only what a man can see from inside his own limits. Then a larger power enters. The wall he was staring at turns out to have a door. What blocks a person is often the smallness of the image he holds, not the size of the task.

The mind treats its own picture of the limit as the edge of reality. When that picture widens to include a source beyond the self, the sense of the impossible loosens and falls away. A man hemmed in by what he alone could do finds room the instant his imagination stops drawing the walls.

Live Mark 10:27 today

  1. Take the thing you have labeled impossible and write down the very next small step. Just the step, not the whole climb.
  2. Tell one person about the thing you have been stuck on. Saying it out loud to someone else often takes a wall and turns it into a door.
  3. When the pressure says you are on your own and it cannot be done, pause before you decide. That voice is tired, not accurate.

What have I called impossible when I really meant I am afraid to do it alone?
