What does Mark 14:13 mean?

The inner powers are sent down into the city of the body, the crowded settlement of thoughts and organs where the life is lived, to find the sign that leads to the upper room. The inner powers are sent down into the city of the body, the crowded settlement of thoughts and organs where the life is lived, to find the sign that leads to the upper room. The man carrying the vessel of water is the current of the age at the threshold of change, the bearer of the living stream who shows the way inward.

To follow the water-bearer is to trace the flow of spirit upward to its own high chamber. The 2 that are sent are the paired faculties of a person, the inner agents dispatched ahead to prepare the raised place where the higher meal is kept.

The city: the crowded body of thoughts and organs where a person's life is carried on The man bearing a pitcher of water: the bearer of the living stream at the turning point who leads consciousness inward The pitcher of water: the vessel of the life-current a person follows up toward the higher chamber The 2 disciples: the paired faculties sent ahead to prepare the raised inner room

Live Mark 14:13 today

  1. Sometime today, when you feel a small quiet pull toward something good, a walk, a call you have been putting off, a few minutes without your phone, just follow it instead of talking yourself out of it.
  2. With one person today, let them lead. Let the conversation go where they take it, ask the next question instead of steering back to your point.
  3. When a day goes sideways, the meeting runs long, the train is late, try following the day instead of forcing it. Ask what this version of today is actually offering before you fight it.

What am I being led toward that I keep turning away from?

Tao Te Ching 8

The highest good is like water, which flows downward without arguing and reaches everywhere. Follow the way water moves and you are already going the right direction.

Zen

A student asked how to find the way. The teacher said, follow the stream. The path is not something you invent, it is something already running that you fall in step with.
