yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.

A single true thought, once received, does not stay the small thing it seemed when it was given. Love needs almost nothing to begin, yet once it takes root in a mind it grows past every value the ego prized, until it becomes wide enough to shelter far more than the one who first accepted it.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
A single true thought, once received, does not stay the small thing it seemed when it was given. Love needs almost nothing to begin, yet once it takes root in a mind it grows past every value the ego prized, until it becomes wide enough to shelter far more than the one who first accepted it.
This is how a healed perception spreads. The mind that welcomed one gentle correction becomes a place of shade and safety, and thoughts that once flew restless and homeless find somewhere to settle. Nothing had to be forced. The one small seed of love simply grew into what it always was.
Seed: the single true thought received into the mind, love in its smallest beginning Branches: the reach of a healed perception as it grows past every value the ego prized Fowls of the air: the restless homeless thoughts that at last find somewhere to settle and rest Shadow: the shelter a mind becomes once love has grown within it, the peace others can rest inside
Christian Psychology lens
What one small kindness could I let grow today, without deciding in advance how far it should reach?
The journey of a thousand miles begins beneath your feet. What becomes vast was always small at the start, and the smallness is not a weakness in it.
A single thought of goodwill, held and extended, widens until it takes in everyone, even those you began by excluding. What started as one small wish for your own peace ends up large enough to hold the world.
There is a use in the useless tree. Too crooked for timber, it grows wide and old, and travelers rest in its shade.
