CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The doubt is turned back gently upon the one who spoke it. The question was never whether love can help, but whether the mind will accept the help that is already there. Belief is not effort or the forcing of conviction; it is the willingness to let the possible be possible, to stop insisting that limitation is the truth.
When a mind ceases to argue for its own powerlessness, the way opens at once. Nothing new is added; only the belief in impossibility is set down, and what was always available is finally allowed to be received.

EGO & BEING
The condition placed on possibility is not external circumstance but the state of the one facing it. If thou canst believe points to an inner shift: releasing the mind's fixed conclusion that a thing cannot be, which is itself only a thought, not a fact carved into reality. Held onto as certain, that conclusion closes a door that was never actually locked.
Believing here is not wishful thinking layered on top of doubt. It is the absence of the contracted, fearful stance that insists on knowing the outcome in advance. Loosen that grip, and you meet the situation with an openness fear had been quietly ruling out, which is why the outer circumstance so often shifts only after the inner posture toward it changes first.

MANIFESTATION
Belief is not agreement with a doctrine but the inner acceptance of a state as one's own. The limit named here is a limit of conviction, not of circumstance. What a man can bring himself to accept as already so is what opens to him, and the sole barrier is his own difficulty in believing.
The power spoken of lives in the one who believes, not in some agency outside him waiting to be persuaded. When a person fully assumes a thing done, the doors that seemed shut were only shut in his estimate of them. Possibility widens exactly as far as acceptance reaches. Whatever a man can inwardly grant himself becomes available to him, and whatever he cannot grant stays closed, held out by nothing but his own refusal to take it.

CYBERNETICS
The whole matter turns back on the one asking, not on the size of the trouble. A desperate father wants to know if anything can be done, and the answer moves the question inward: what can be done depends on what he can believe. The lock and the key sit in the same place.
Believing here means more than wishing harder. Belief works as the settled picture a person holds of what is possible for him, and that picture opens or closes the ground he stands on. A man convinced a thing cannot happen has already shut the gate. When the conviction shifts, the field of the possible widens with it. What looked fixed and impossible was partly held shut from inside.

SELF-HELP
The condition sits inside the person asking, which turns a situation that looked closed into one that was never actually tested. A limiting belief is a fence the mind mistakes for the horizon, accepted rather than examined, and it decides in advance which attempts get made at all, so the evidence a person collects only ever comes from inside the fenced ground.
A belief is a feeling of certainty held up by references a person has collected, and references can be collected on purpose. Leaving the fence alone costs a person the attempts never made, and those never register as losses because nothing was tried and nothing visibly failed.
Christian Psychology lens
What have I settled as impossible, when the only evidence was my own insistence?
Water does not force its way through stone, yet it wears the stone down. Stop straining and the path opens where straining never found it.
A cup already full can receive nothing. Empty it of what you are certain about and there is suddenly room.
What stands in the way becomes the way, once you stop insisting it cannot. The obstacle was never the wall, it was the verdict you gave it.
