Mark 9:27 · World English Bible
But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.
The lifting up is what a shift in perception feels like from inside. Nothing was added to the body and nothing was demanded of the world; a mind that seemed cast down was met by love and simply stood.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The lifting up is what a shift in perception feels like from inside. Nothing was added to the body and nothing was demanded of the world; a mind that seemed cast down was met by love and simply stood. What looked like something dead was only a self convinced of its own defeat, and that conviction cannot survive the touch of the teacher who never believed it.
The hand is the gentle correction offered from a strength the mind had forgotten it shared. To be raised is not to be rescued from without but to remember that the fall was never as real as it appeared.
Hand: the reach of love that joins the mind to a strength beyond its fear, the correction that asks nothing of the body Him: the part of the self that believed itself defeated, the innocence waiting to be restored to its feet
Christian Psychology lens
What am I treating as dead in me, when it may only be waiting to be stood up?
The moon was never lost behind the cloud. Nothing is added when it appears again, only the covering moves.
The rope was mistaken for a snake and the fear was real, but the snake never was. Seeing clearly does not kill the snake, it ends a misunderstanding.
We are disturbed not by events but by our judgment of them. Change the verdict and the defeat you were sure of quietly stops existing.
