The Father addressed here is your own consciousness, the awareness that conceives, and the thing hidden is that imagination itself is God and the whole of Scripture is your own biography. It stays hidden from the wise and prudent because reasoning by the evidence of the senses cannot reach it.

MANIFESTATION
The Father addressed here is your own consciousness, the awareness that conceives, and the thing hidden is that imagination itself is God and the whole of Scripture is your own biography. It stays hidden from the wise and prudent because reasoning by the evidence of the senses cannot reach it. The mind that trusts only what it can measure keeps this truth locked out.
It is revealed to babes, meaning to the one who receives it simply, without argument, the way a child accepts a thing as so. Only the son can reveal the Father, and the son is the awakened awareness in you, so a person learns he is himself the source he was looking for. This cannot be told into someone. It must be lived to be known. The power that makes your world is your own imagining, and it opens only to the one humble enough to take it plainly.

ESOTERIC
The inner knowing is closed to the clever and opened to the simple. The Father is the right hemisphere of the brain, the silent source addressed from within, ruling both the higher realm and the field of mind. These things stay hidden from the wise and prudent because self-satisfied reasoning cannot receive them; they open to babes, to the childlike faculties still humble enough to be taught. Heaven is the higher region above the reasoning brain and earth is the mind itself, and the Father governs both. The clever are not shut out by cruelty but by their own fullness, while the empty and open are filled.
Revelation comes to whoever is childlike enough to receive it, and it withdraws from whoever is too pleased with his own understanding to make room. The turning asked of the wise is exactly the emptying that the babe already has.
Father: the right hemisphere of the brain, the silent inner source that governs mind and higher realm alike. Heaven: the higher region above the reasoning brain, the upper sky within. Earth: the mind, the lower field over which the Father also rules. Babes: the childlike inner faculties, empty and humble enough to receive what the clever cannot.

SUFISM
A clenched fist cannot receive water; only the open, empty hand can hold rain. Cleverness often clenches, so proud of what it grips that it has no room for what is offered, and shuts the very door it thinks it guards.
The cure is to grow small again, to admit one does not already know and to ask like a child who expects an answer. What is hidden is not locked away out of spite; only the low place can catch the rain, and God shows Himself gladly to the humble heart.
Manifestation lens
What have I been too clever to accept simply?
To know that you do not know is the beginning. The one who claims to have it figured out is the one furthest from it, while the empty hand is the one that can receive.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities; in the expert's mind there are few. The clever mind arrives with its case already closed, and nothing can get in.
Can you become like a newborn child again? Softness and simplicity reach what cleverness cannot, because what is being offered is too plain for a mind that only wants proof.
