Matthew 18:19 Meaning Again

Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

What does Matthew 18:19 mean?

When two minds lay down their separate wills and agree, they step for a moment out of the dream of division, and in that joining they ask with one voice. What is asked from union is already answered, because agreement itself is the healing; two who no longer stand apart have remembered the truth that they were never really two.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

When two minds lay down their separate wills and agree, they step for a moment out of the dream of division, and in that joining they ask with one voice. What is asked from union is already answered, because agreement itself is the healing; two who no longer stand apart have remembered the truth that they were never really two. The Father grants it not as a favor from far off but because their joining has restored the very condition Heaven is.

So the power is not in the wording of a request but in the meeting of minds behind it. Where separation ends, lack ends, and what union asks for it receives, since it has ceased to want anything but the wholeness it has already found.

Two: two minds that release their separateness and join, the ending of the belief in division Earth: the dream of separation, the ground where minds either stand apart or agree

MANIFESTATION

Manifestation

The two who agree are not two people signing a pact. They are your own awareness and the desire you bring to it, and when these two come together and feel as one, the thing is done. To agree on earth means to bring the wish down into feeling, so that what you want and what you sense yourself to be stop arguing and become a single settled state. That inner agreement is the whole of it.

The Father in heaven is your own imagination, and it answers only what the two have truly settled on together. A desire held at arm's length, doubted while it is wished for, is two who never agreed. When awareness accepts the desire as its own and feels it as a settled fact, the state is granted. The outer world always yields to what a person has inwardly agreed to be.

Live Matthew 18:19 today

  1. Before you make your case about something today, write down what you actually want underneath the position. Often it is smaller and easier to share than the position was.
  2. In your next disagreement with someone close, go looking for the one thing you both already want and say it out loud before anything else. The argument usually shrinks.
  3. In a tense meeting, be the person who names the shared goal instead of defending a side. It costs you the win and gets you the thing.

Where am I holding a position when what I want is actually something we both want?
