Matthew 20:15 Meaning Isn’t It Lawful for Me to Do
Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’

Matthew 20:15 · World English Bible
Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
The eye that turns bitter at another's blessing is the mind looking through the ego's lens, where goodness given elsewhere feels like a loss to itself. This is the deepest confusion of the separated mind, that it must resent love in order to keep its sense of being wronged.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
The eye that turns bitter at another's blessing is the mind looking through the ego's lens, where goodness given elsewhere feels like a loss to itself. This is the deepest confusion of the separated mind, that it must resent love in order to keep its sense of being wronged. Yet nothing has been taken. The Self gives freely from what is wholly its own, and the only shadow in the scene is the darkened seeing that calls generosity an offense.
An evil eye is simply a choice to look on abundance and see robbery, a wound the mind imagines and then blames on the giver. The correction is not to demand fairness but to let the sight be healed, so that another's good is finally recognized as one's own good too.
Eye: the mind's power of perception, the inner sight that either blesses what it sees or darkens it into grievance Mine own: the peace and love that belong wholly to the Self, freely given because they were never scarce to begin with
Christian Psychology lens
What good in someone else's life have I been treating as a loss in mine?
The sage does not hoard. The more they give to others, the more they have. What flows out was never a subtraction.
One of the four boundless states is joy at another's good fortune, named as its own practice because the mind that resents a neighbor's happiness is the mind suffering, not the neighbor.
Who is rich? The one who is content with what they have. Wealth is a way of seeing, not a quantity.
