CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

The joining of two into one is what Heaven eternally is, and it is arranged not by the mind's effort but by its Source, wanting only the reunion of what was never apart. The celebration is prepared, nothing left to be earned. What the separated mind calls distance from God is only an invitation not yet accepted.

So the whole movement is toward union, and love does the arranging while the mind is asked simply to come. The wedding stands ready, and the only question is whether the mind will lay down its solitude and enter the joy set for it.

King: the Source that arranges the mind's return to union and asks nothing in payment. Son: the true self, the part of the mind being restored to its wholeness. Marriage: the joining of the separated mind back into the oneness it never really left.

EGO & BEING

Ego v. Being

The kingdom of heaven is not a place you travel to when you die. It is a state of consciousness available now, the awakened awareness in which the sense of being separate dissolves and you know yourself as one with the whole.

Why is such a state likened to a marriage? A marriage is a union, the joining of what seemed two into one. The ego lives in the feeling of separation, cut off from the present and from life itself. Awakening ends that separation, the inner marriage of you and life, and it is a wedding feast because joy arises naturally when you no longer feel separate from life.

ESOTERIC

Esoteric

The kingdom of heaven is the raised state of awareness inside the skull, the realm where the higher self reigns over the whole field of the body. A marriage there is the joining of the 2 natures a person carries, the ruling spirit and the soul it has fathered, brought together so they act as one instead of pulling apart. The king is the governing I AM at the crown, and the son is the Christ consciousness born from it, the awakened part that has grown up enough to be wed. What waits inside is not a distant coronation but this inner union, the marriage of the will and the feeling nature until the person moves whole.

The wedding feast that follows is simply what happens when the higher and lower are reconciled, the flooding of the body with a settled joy that no longer divides against itself.

Kingdom of heaven: the raised field of awareness in the head where the higher self rules the body King: the governing I AM at the crown, the sovereign will that orders the whole person Son: the Christ consciousness born from the higher self, the awakened nature grown ready for union Marriage: the joining of will and feeling, spirit and soul, into a single undivided movement

Live Matthew 22:2 today

  1. Before you reach for your phone in the morning, stay still for one minute and let it be true that nothing has to be earned yet today.
  2. Say yes to the plan you have been quietly putting off, the coffee, the call, the dinner. Pick up the phone now and send the message.
  3. In the middle of a packed day, in the car or the elevator, drop the sentence "I have to get there" and try "I am already welcome here."

What have I been treating as a goal that was always just an open invitation?

The self you are looking for is not far off waiting to be reached. It is already here, nearer than your own breath, and seeking only ends the illusion of distance.

Sufism · Rumi

You keep knocking on a door that has been open the whole time. The longing you feel is the invitation, not the proof of exile.
