Matthew 22:4 Meaning Again He Sent Out Other Servants

Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!” ’

What does Matthew 22:4 mean?

Love does not tire when the first call is ignored; it sends the reminder again and insists that everything is already finished. Nothing more must be produced, nothing more suffered.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

Love does not tire when the first call is ignored; it sends the reminder again and insists that everything is already finished. Nothing more must be produced, nothing more suffered. The feast is complete, the abundance poured out in full, and the mind is asked only to stop laboring long enough to receive what has been set before it.

The repetition is patience itself. Where the separated mind expects a God who withholds until it is worthy, there is instead a table spread before any worth is shown, and one word waiting. Readiness was never the mind's task; acceptance is.

Servants: the loving thoughts sent once more to reassure the mind that the way home is open. Dinner: the completed gift of union, prepared in full and needing nothing added. Marriage: the reunion the mind is invited to enter freely.

Live Matthew 22:4 today

  1. Pick one thing on your list today that is there only to prove you are worth something, and cross it off. Leave it off.
  2. Accept a compliment or a thank you flat out, with "thank you" and nothing after it. No deflecting, no listing what you could have done better.
  3. When your chest tightens before a deadline or a hard email, put both feet on the floor and let one breath go all the way out before you type a word. You are not being graded on your readiness.

What am I still trying to deserve that has already been handed to me?
