Matthew 24:22 Meaning Unless Those Days Had Been Shortened
Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

Matthew 24:22 · World English Bible
Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.
The body inherited from the parents cannot survive an endless ordeal, so the passage through the lower centers is cut short for the sake of the part in a person already awake. Overcoming the 6 energy centers of the body shortens the struggle and brings the higher power down, and were that climb not compressed the physical form would burn out under the strain before the work finished.

ESOTERIC
The body inherited from the parents cannot survive an endless ordeal, so the passage through the lower centers is cut short for the sake of the part in a person already awake. Overcoming the 6 energy centers of the body shortens the struggle and brings the higher power down, and were that climb not compressed the physical form would burn out under the strain before the work finished. The elect are not a chosen crowd somewhere else but the awakened current within, the portion of consciousness that has begun to rise, and for its sake the days of pressure are shortened so the flesh holds together long enough to complete the ascent.
Salvation here is a matter of timing inside one person. The ordeal is made brief enough that the body endures it, and the waking part is what earns the mercy of a shorter passage.
Flesh: the physical body received from the parents, which cannot outlast an unbroken ordeal
Esoteric lens
Where are you treating a hard season as if it will last forever, when it was never built to?
A violent storm does not last a whole morning. What is most intense in nature is also what passes quickest, because nothing living could carry it longer.
The Buddha taught the middle way after nearly starving himself to death. He found that the body has to be kept alive for the work to finish, so he ate the rice and sat down.
Seneca wrote that what is unbearable is brief and what lasts is bearable. The pain that could truly break you is also, by its nature, short.
