Matthew 25:45 Meaning Then He Will Answer Them

Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

What does Matthew 25:45 mean?

To withhold love from anyone is to withhold it from oneself, for the mind cannot single out one brother for denial and remain whole. The refusal aimed outward lands inward, since there is no outward at all.

CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Christian Psychology

To withhold love from anyone is to withhold it from oneself, for the mind cannot single out one brother for denial and remain whole. The refusal aimed outward lands inward, since there is no outward at all. What looks like turning away from a stranger is the mind turning away from a part of its own being, and the loss it causes is its own.

A mind that passes by the least has not harmed a distant other. It has closed a door on itself and called the emptiness that follows someone else's fault. There is no one outside to neglect. Every act of coldness is only the belief in separation choosing itself again, and it is the chooser who goes cold.

King: the loving Self within, unrecognized by the mind that turns away Least of these: the disowned parts of the one mind, denied as though they were nothing

Live Matthew 25:45 today

  1. Catch the moment today when you decide someone is not worth replying to. Reply anyway, briefly, and feel how differently the next hour sits in you.
  2. If you are irritated with someone at home tonight, do not go silent on them. Silence feels like power and leaves you colder than it leaves them.
  3. When a request arrives at a bad moment, say a kind no instead of no answer at all. The ignored message costs you more than the honest one.

What did it do to you the last time you turned away from someone and told yourself it did not matter?
