Matthew 26:17 · World English Bible
Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
The passing of energy from the left hemisphere to the right is the whole event beneath this meal, and the pure truth unstained by outside influence is what feeds it. The passover is that crossing from the left side of the brain to the right, and the unleavened bread is truth kept clean of any foreign leaven, the plain undoctored knowing on which the crossing is nourished.

ESOTERIC
The passing of energy from the left hemisphere to the right is the whole event beneath this meal, and the pure truth unstained by outside influence is what feeds it. The passover is that crossing from the left side of the brain to the right, and the unleavened bread is truth kept clean of any foreign leaven, the plain undoctored knowing on which the crossing is nourished. Those who meditate come asking where this passage is to be made ready.
The preparation is inward, a clearing of the place where the energy will move over. To eat this bread is to take in truth with nothing added to it, and the feast is the mind readying itself for the shift from one hemisphere to the other.
Passover: the passing of energy from the left hemisphere of the brain to the right Unleavened bread: pure truth unstained by outside influence, the clean knowing that feeds the crossing Disciples: the faculties that meditate, preparing the inner place for the passage Jesus: the higher awakened awareness the meal is made ready for, commander of the 8
Esoteric lens
What have I added to a simple truth today that it never needed?
The way forward is by taking away, not adding. What you drop from your knowing is worth more than what you pile onto it.
A student arrives full of learning and the teacher says the cup must be emptied before anything can be poured in. Preparation is removing, not acquiring.
The senses are turned outward by habit, and the one who wishes to cross turns them inward instead. The place of passage is made ready in the self, not anywhere outside it.
