Matthew 27:9 Meaning Then That Which Was Spoken Through Jeremiah

Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,

What does Matthew 27:9 mean?

The number 30 is the reckoning of Scorpio, its 30 degrees of arc broken into 3 decans, the sign of the sting and the wound where mind imprisons spirit and the god Sin, the old moon deity, rules the shifting emotions. Silver is that same lunar substance, the moving water of consciousness and feeling, and here it is weighed out as the worth of what is holy within.

Israel is the whole assembly of inner faculties, Isis the spirit and Ra the mind and El the god within, and by these the Christ life gets appraised at the price of an emotion.

That a prophet is named wrongly, Jeremy standing where another belongs, is itself the tell: the outer record is broken, yet the coded story underneath holds. What breaks is the letter of history; what survives is the buried anatomy. The one thing of infinite value in a person gets tallied in coins of feeling and handed over, and the whole scene is a transaction happening in the mind now.

Live Matthew 27:9 today

  1. When a low mood tells you your work, your marriage, or your faith is worth less than it was yesterday, let the feeling be a weather report and not a verdict. Write down the thing you still choose, in the weather you actually have.
  2. Before you make a judgment about a person today, a coworker, a family member, the driver who cut you off, ask whether you are reading them or reading your own mood. Then speak to the person, not to the mood.
  3. Under pressure, when you catch a small factual error in someone else's account, decide whether the error actually changes the truth they were pointing at. Let them keep the point, correct only what matters.

What did I quietly mark down today because I was tired, not because it was worth less?

Tao Te Ching 1

The name is not the thing. Every label slides off the reality it was pointing at, and still the pointing works if you follow it instead of arguing with the finger.

Zen

Fingers and moons. A sloppy record can still carry you to the real thing, and a perfect record you never follow carries you nowhere.

Buddhism

Feeling is not a measure of worth. Moods rise and fall like water, and anything you value only while the mood holds was never valued at all.
