CHRISTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Anxiety about tomorrow is the ego borrowing a fear that has not happened and spending it now. It does this to keep the mind convinced that the future must be defended against, that safety lies in bracing rather than in trust. But a mind cannot live in a day that does not exist; it can only frighten itself with a picture painted by fear.
The correction is to bring attention back to the moment actually given, where help is present and sufficient. Each difficulty can be met when it arrives and handed to the teacher of Love; it does not have to be carried in advance. Peace is found by living the one day the mind is actually in.
Morrow: the imagined future the ego uses to frighten the mind, a screen onto which fear projects troubles that are not real yet

EGO & BEING
The mind loves to live in tomorrow, running ahead into problems that do not yet exist and may never come. This is what worry is: a future imagined so vividly that your body suffers now for something that is not even happening.
You are told to take no thought for tomorrow because tomorrow, when it arrives, will arrive as another present moment, and you will meet it with the clarity you have then, not the fear you manufacture today. Worry does not prepare you. It only drains the one moment in which you are actually able to act.

MANIFESTATION
Tomorrow is a concept of the senses, while creation occurs exclusively in the present awareness of being. Projecting a desire into the future postpones it indefinitely, since consciousness experiences reality only now.
The evil of the day is the sensory contradiction present in the immediate moment. Dwelling entirely in the feeling of the wish fulfilled now allows future events to unfold effortlessly.

ESOTERIC
Anxiety lives entirely in the tomorrow the mind builds and rehearses. The morrow is not a date on a calendar but the projecting faculty, the part of consciousness that leans forward into what has not come and suffers there in advance. To take no thought for it is to unhook awareness from that forward pull and let it rest in the single day a person is actually alive in.
Each day carries its own weight, and that weight is enough. When the mind stops borrowing troubles from a future that isn't here, it meets only what stands in front of it now, and the moment becomes bearable on its own.
The morrow: the projecting faculty of the mind, leaning forward into what has not come and suffering there ahead of time The day: the single present moment a person is actually alive in, carrying only its own weight

PSYCHOANALYSIS
Worry about tomorrow is the ego's driven attempt to control what already lies sleeping below awareness, a midnight rehearsal of dangers the waking self has not yet faced.
What tomorrow holds already exists as potential in today's inner depths, not as fixed fate but as living possibility waiting to cross into awareness. The person who holds himself in a 'temporary' pose, refusing every brush with change and loss, shows what unchecked ego-anxiety produces: a freezing of all growth. Wholeness asks you to let go of this control, to trust the deep self rather than the ego's fearful guesses about a future the waking mind cannot hold.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
There is enough difficulty in a single day to occupy a serious person fully, and the impulse to drag tomorrow's troubles into today doubles the burden without doubling the strength to carry it. Much of human suffering is borrowed in advance, imagined catastrophes rehearsed so vividly that we live them before they ever arrive, and often instead of ever arriving.
The discipline is to meet the day you are actually in and confront the evil that is actually present, which is usually all you can manage well. When you stop mortgaging your peace against futures that may never come, you free yourself to face what is real now, and it turns out that is where all your power to act has been waiting.

BUDDHISM
Anxiety about tomorrow is the thirst that grips a particular outcome (taṇhā), requiring that food, safety, and standing arrive in a specific shape, so any threat to them brings dread. "Don't be anxious" means loosen that grip, not stop caring.
From an uncertain future, the mind spins a whole theater of rehearsed disasters (papañca). These feel like foresight but are fabrication, and dwelling on them only sharpens the dread.
Tomorrow has not yet arisen (anicca). It has no present reality to secure; worrying about it is like gripping smoke, and the hand closes on nothing.
Today's trouble (dukkha) is real and can be met; tomorrow's is imagined and cannot be faced. Stacking the imagined load on the actual one doubles the weight for nothing.
Rest on the day in front of you, carrying the trouble it delivers and no more (upekkhā): "each day's own evil is sufficient."

CYBERNETICS
You cannot live tomorrow today, yet the anxious mind tries, dragging imagined troubles into a morning that has not come and spending real strength on scenes that may never arrive. A man who does this arrives at each new day already tired, having fought battles only in the theater of his mind.
The automatic mechanism inside you is built to meet what is actually in front of you, and it meets it well when you are present. Handle the day you are in and leave tomorrow its own portion. When you stop rehearsing troubles that have not happened, you free the energy you need to deal with the one thing that has.

SUFISM
The heart has a habit of reaching into a day that has not yet come and dragging its troubles into the present, so that it suffers tomorrow's burden today on top of its own. A man like this is never where he stands, always bracing for what may never arrive. He pays for griefs before they are even due.
This borrowing from tomorrow doubles the weight while helping nothing, for each day already carries enough of its own. So the cure is to keep the heart within the single day it has been given, and the one who lives one day at a time is left carrying only what he can actually bear.

SUFISM
Worry tries to live in a day that has not been handed over yet, dragging a burden across a bridge no one has built. But each day is given whole and in its turn, and the same care that meets you now will be waiting there when now becomes then.
So the mind that borrows tomorrow's trouble is refusing today's gift. Life is poured out one day at a time on purpose, so a person can meet the Giver freshly in each one. Stay in the day you are actually holding, and you will find His hand already in it, which is all any single day requires.

SUFISM
Ibn al-waqt: Child of the moment Sufis call the seeker a child of the moment, at home in the hour they are in. Worry drags a person into a day that has not arrived and makes them pay its costs early. Living inside today leaves a person with today's work only, which is nearly always smaller than the pile the mind builds.
Rest yourself from managing your own affairs: another hand is already on them Ibn Ata Allah told his students to stop running their own lives. Anxious planning gets done over and over, in the dark, with facts nobody has yet, so it never finishes. Setting that job down gives a person back the attention they were spending on a day that has not shown up.
Tawakkul: Trust in God Al-Ghazali gives trust a whole book of the Revival, and warns against reading it as doing nothing. Sowing the field and tying the camel still belong to the day, since God works through ordinary means. Trust lands on the part after the work, where a person wants a guarantee and keeps checking a future nobody can hold. A person keeps doing the work and stops demanding to know how it comes out.
God does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear: strength comes with the day The Quran says God never loads a soul past what it can carry, and Sufis take that measure one day at a time. Piling tomorrow's trouble on top of today's breaks people, because they are carrying two days with one day's supply. A person facing only today usually finds they have enough for today.
I am as My servant thinks of Me: expectation colors what a person meets The Prophet passed this on as God's own words. Anxiety about tomorrow carries a quiet bad opinion, an assumption that whatever is coming will be against them. The assumption sits unexamined and tints every plan, so the future feels hostile long before it arrives. Thinking well of God does not promise an easy day, though it does stop the dread of a day that has not arrived.

AWARENESS
Tomorrow exists only in the mind, and anxiety is the mind living in a place that has never once arrived. Whoever worries about tomorrow is absent from the only day he has been given.
Each day carries what it carries, and that weight can be met when it actually arrives, because the response then rises from awareness rather than from rehearsal. Fear of the future is the one suffering with no cause in the present. Let thinking fall quiet and this day is already sufficient, food and light and breath arriving without anyone having arranged them.

SELF-HELP
A person can drain today's power by pre-living tomorrow's problems, feeling in advance a pain that may never come and arriving already exhausted. Worry is a demand for certainty about a future no one is promised, and it steals the only ground where action is possible, which is now.
The present moment is where all power lives, because it is the only place a person can decide and act. Give this day your full presence and full effort, handle what is actually in front of you, and let tomorrow be met tomorrow. Live fully in the hour you are standing in, and you build a future by mastering the only day you ever truly hold.
Christian Psychology lens
What tomorrow am I living in right now that has not even arrived?
The sage does not reach ahead and grasp. Trying to hold the river before it arrives only tires the hands, while the water that is here already carries you.
When you eat, just eat. When you walk, just walk. The mind that runs to the next hour is not actually there, and so it misses the only place where life is happening.
You can carry today. What breaks people is adding yesterday's weight and tomorrow's imagined weight to it, then calling the whole pile their present load.
