What a person leaves out of frame still stands in the road, armed, and does not wait to be seen.

Attention behaves like a supply line, and whatever falls outside the frame is deleted from the only version of the road a person can act on. That deletion sets the belief that the way is clear, the belief sets the state, and the state decides where the anger goes, so a man aimed at a payday burns his fury on an animal while an armed messenger of Yahweh holds his path.

When the frame opens, no argument is needed; the state collapses and the body hits the ground ahead of the reasoning. What that edit costs is every choice steered by a map missing the one fact that decides the outcome, and that fact keeps closing the distance regardless.

  1. Once today, read back a message or plan you are sure about and ask what you left out because it was inconvenient, not because it was untrue.
  2. Ask one person who sees your situation closely what you seem to be missing, and write down their answer without defending yourself in the same breath.
  3. When something blocks you at work and your first reaction is anger at whoever delivered the news, pause long enough to ask whether the news is accurate before deciding how you feel.

What has been standing in my road for a while, waiting for me to look up?
